Boy missing in flooded river found dead

Surendra Mandal, who had been missing since Monday after being swept away by the flooded Phanti river in Bara, was found dead. His body was found Tuesday morning. He, along with his classmate Pratima Ram, was swept away by the river at Parsagadhi municipality-4 in course of crossing it. They both were the ninth graders at the Nera Secondary School Barbachhatai and were returning to home when the accident happened.

The body of Pramila was retrieved Monday. The bodies have been kept in the Narayani Sub Regional Hospital, Birgunj for post-mortem examinations, Deputy Superintendent of Police Satya Narayan Thapa said.
