Two killed in Khotang jeep plunge

Two persons were killed and two others injured seriously when a jeep skidded off the road and feel down some 300 meters at Hilepani of Manebhanjyang in Okhaldhunga Thursday. Brake failure has been blamed for the mishap.

The deceased have been identified as Singhe Tamang, 40, and Kaili Maya Tamang, 35, of Sunkoshi rural municipality-5. The injured—the driver Lal Bahadur Tamang and Lokendra Tamang—are receiving treatment at a local health institution, said the police, adding that a rescue operation has been launched.
