KATHMANDU: Generation Next Communications Pvt Ltd, the authorised distributor of Apple in Nepal, launched the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus in the Nepali market on November 17.
The iPhone 8 comes with a 4.7-inch Retina Display with 1334 x 750 resolution. It boasts a 12MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture and 7MP front camera with f/2.2 aperture. Backed by a 1821mAh battery, the phone runs iOS11 coupled with 2GB of RAM.
On the other hand, iPhone 8 Plus, which also runs iOS11, sports a 5.5-inch Retina Display with 1920 x 1080 resolution. The phone boasts a primary dual camera — 12MP shooters with f/1.8 and f/2.8 apertures — whereas the front camera is equipped with a 7MP shooter with f/2.2 aperture. The device sports a 3GB RAM and 2691mAh battery.
The smartphones will be available in 64GB and 256GB variants and will come in Gold, Silver and Space Grey colour options. Customers will receive one year’s warranty on both phones from any authorised dealer. Furthermore, Ncell users will receive 2GB of free data per month for eight months with their purchase.
The 64GB variant of iPhone 8 is priced at Rs 98,500 whereas the 256GB variant is priced at Rs 1,19,500. In the case of iPhone 8 Plus, the 64GB variant is priced at Rs 1,12,500 and 256GB one is priced at Rs 1,33,000.
