KATHMANDU: The successor of Sony’s 2016 flagship Xperia XZ, Xperia XZs will be launched in the first week of August in the Nepali market. Closely resembling its predecessor in terms of features and design, the Xperia XZs is priced at Rs 69,000.

The smartphone is equipped with a 5.2-inch IPS LCD FHD display with a pixel density of 424 PPI. The display comes with Gorilla Glass protection and flaunts thick bezels on top and bottom.

The device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 chipset and Adreno 530 GPU. The Xperia XZs’ camera specs are meant to catch the eye with the rear camera boasting a 19MP shooter with f/2.0 aperture and PDAF, LED flash and Electronic Image Stabilisation (EIS) to minimise blurring and compensate for the device shaking. The Xperia XZs is also capable of shooting 4k videos. The front camera is equipped with a 13MP shooter with f/2.0 aperture which helps take sharp, clear and noiseless selfies even in low light.

The Xperia XZs comes with a 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card. The device runs Android v7.1 Nougat and is fuelled by a decent 2900mAh non-removable battery with Quick Charge 3.0 capability.
