OTTO phone with glucose monitor

KATHMANDU: In an event held at Hotel Annapurna in Durbar Marg, Jaima International Pvt Ltd launched a first-of-its-kind mobile device with a glucose monitor –OTTO Chekr on July 12.

The new feature phone priced at Rs 3,469 promises to be a handy device for the health conscious.

The OTTO Chekr measures the human body’s blood sugar level. The glucose level can be checked with the help of a specially designed Glucose Meter kit manufactured especially for OTTO by Bioland Technology Ltd, certified by the US FDA.

The mobile phone will be available with a lancing device, lancets and glucose strips along with a user manual. The device sports a 2-inch curved landscape display and a 1500mAh battery and is powered by a MT6261D chipset.

It also supports wireless FM Radio and has a dedicated Facebook app for social media lovers.

Along with these features, OTTO Chekr is equipped with a built-in pedometer which helps keep track of the steps taken by the mobile phone user.

It also has an inbuilt K-Power sound amplifier for crispy audio. The smartphone is available for purchase at Daraz Kaymu.
