The government has annulled all the political appointments made by the preceding Sher Bahadur Deuba government from August 30, 2017 to February 14.
Government spokesperson and Minister for Information and Communications Gokul Baskota said all the decisions taken by the Deuba government after the code of conduct for the election of House of Representatives (HoR) was enforced have been revoked.
“All political appointments and nominations made at authorities, corporations, councils, boards, banks and other institutions under different ministries made by the preceding government after the Election Commission enforced the code of conduct for the election of HoR and provincial assemblies and before formation of the current government have been revoked,” Baskota told Setopati.
The Cabinet meeting held Wednesday night has decided to make new appointments for all those positions.
