Minister Basnet bats for increasing forest land

Minister for Forest and Environment Shakti Basnet has stressed on scientific forest management for sustainable use of forest products.

Speaking in a program organized to mark 23rd anniversary of community forest users’ federation here in the capital Friday, Basnet said that the Ministry was moving ahead with a clear policy of forest management and its use.

He further committed to increasing the forest land as law conducive to forest conservation was in progress.

Minister Basnet shared that balanced measures would be adopted while using the forest products.
