Well, allergies can be really really annoying, especially when you don’t really know what you are allergic to. But apart from the food allergies, there are some pretty wacky allergies going out that you never want to contract!

1. Being allergic to touch- Dermatographic Urticaria.
That is really the most mind-boggling allergies one can ever come in contact with. So, this is an allergic response to the touching of the other people. Literally, “YOU DON’T WANT ANYBODY TO TOUCH YOU!” And trust me this is really a thing. The skin turns red in addition to welts.
2. Wood allergy.
With hundreds of species of trees growing around you don’t really know which wood you might induce an allergic response. But this allergy is most prevalent among the wood-workers. The symptoms include skin irritations, sneezing, nosebleeds, vomiting, and even nasopharyngeal cancer.
3. Plastics.
Well, allergy to plastics may not be so common but are definitely a thing. This results from contact with certain plastics. The symptoms include redness, itching, and swelling at the location of contact.
4. Human Seminal Plasma Hypersensitivity.
Okay, so, you may have seen people avoid having sex saying that they are allergic to sex. Well, believe me, or not, this is definitely true. Some women (and men) are allergic to semen, their body forms an antibody due to which an immunological response is triggered. It also prevents pregnancy and the antibodies kill the living sperm cells.
5. Metal Hypersensitivity.
Many people experience allergic responses when they come into contact with specific metals. Estimates suggest that up to 15 percent of the population could be affected. Symptoms may include pain, swelling, redness, and itching at the site of contact.
6. Sun Photosensitivity.
Well, this is definitely a rather peculiar kind of an allergy, I’d definitely like to call it the “Vampire Syndrome”. Well, as the name suggests, this allergy is caused due sunlight, and are most likely to affect the skin in the V of the neck and the outer surfaces of the arms and legs—places which are likely to get a lot of direct sunlight.
7. Water- Aquagenic Urticaria.
Yeah, so all those who jokingly say that they are allergic to water pay close attention. This type of allergy though extremely rare is definitely the worst kind. People who are prone to this allergy usually have no problem in drinking water, but it becomes really deadly when they come in contact.
8. Vibration- Vibratory Urticaria.
Talk about wacky allergies, this is caused due to vibrations. allergy symptoms such as itching, redness, and swelling are caused by the skin being exposed to, vibration, prolonged friction etc. Yeah, no vibrators.
9. Pregnancy- Pemphigoid Gestationis.
Okay, people, pregnancy isn’t always beautiful sometimes it is painful as hell. Especially, when you have pemphigoid gestationis. It occurs. predominantly during mid-to-late pregnancy, anywhere from 13 to 42 weeks. It begins with some minor itchy red bumps around the navel. It gets really really worse but began to disappear within few weeks after delivery.
10. Cold Temperatures- Cold urticaria.
Okay, so, not everybody has this, but this is really really painful. It is triggered due to low temperatures and the symptoms can range from redness, welts, and itching on skin that has been exposed to the cold all the way to systemic symptoms like headaches, diarrhea, tachycardia, and even anaphylaxis.
