KATHMANDU: Hindu pilgrims also called Bol Bom have thronged a temple to worship ‘Lord Shiva’ during the holy month of Shrawan Sombar festival at Sundarijal in Kathmandu today.
Pilgrims from Nepal and India have travelled some 22 kilometres on bare feet to Sundarijal from the capital city to collect holy water and return to Pashupathinath temple to worship ‘Shiva Linga’.
The festival lasts for a month, during which devotees observe fast and throng temple of ‘Lord Shiva’, regarded the ultimate destroyer in Hinduism. Hindu devotees pray for the happiness of their families duirng the festival.
